Hello, I'm Uli Lächelt, the person behind Galerie Lächelt.
As a visual artist, I've been active for 30 years – and it was precisely out of that practice that the art platform Artplaner emerged. The large, anonymous platforms never convinced me: too impersonal, too little tailored to the actual needs of artists and collectors. So I built something new myself.
My experience as an artist combines with knowledge in programming, community management, and business leadership. Out of this mix grew an independent art startup, faster than I ever expected. For this idea, we received several awards – including from Digitales MV and the Ministry of the Interior and Construction – and on that basis successfully secured funding.
With this funding, we took a further step: in addition to the platform, we opened a dedicated gallery for our artists – a place where art can be experienced not only digitally, but physically as well.
Beyond running the gallery, we always welcome personal exchange. Whether it's new ideas, collaborations, or simply a good conversation about art – we're open and look forward to hearing from you.
